CM vows old temples will be tourist spots

Speaking to reporters after inspecting the Shree Morjai Devi Temple at Morjim, Parsekar said the Goa Tourism Development Corporation will beautify the temple premises at a cost of Rs 3 crore. “Mandrem constituency is significant for the tourism industry as lakhs of tourists visit the coastal areas,” he added. Speaking further, Parsekar said the government has decided to develop and beautify old temples so that tourists would be attracted to these temples. “As part of this plan, the Morjai temple will be developed,” added Parsekar. Speaking on the condition of roads, he said the tourism industry would be boosted if interior village roads are developed along with main roads. “People should support the road-widening works in their areas,” requested Parsekar.
