Anjuna cops crack down on loud music

he crackdown began at around 11.30 pm and went on for almost an hour, police sources informed.  
At least two night clubs – Waters Beach Club and Antares Restaurant & Beach Club – at Ozrant, Vagator were put on notice and ordered to stop playing music.  
Sources said WRD Minister Vinod Palyekar was personally monitoring the crackdown after he instructed the Anjuna PI to seal the night clubs which were playing out door music and disturbing the locals post 10 pm.  
“I called up Anjuna Police Inspector Raul Parab at around 11 pm and asked him to crack down on all the rave parties and outdoor music going on in my constituency. I get information about loud music from the public,” Palyekar said.  
Anjuna Police confirmed that some night clubs were playing music beyond the stipulated time and were promptly asked to stop.  
Police have also issued a strict warning to most night clubs, restaurants and shacks along the Anjuna coastal belt on loud music.  
“The crackdown was a routine exercise. We have been implementing the 10 pm deadline for playing of music along the coast,” said Raul Parab, Pernem PI who is overseeing Anjuna Police
