The message is this: the government has forever mistreated taxi drivers. The taxi drivers showed great restraint in holding back their strike during the peak of the tourist season. They have also shown that they can choose the right moment to cripple tourism. What the media thinks is irrelevant. What happens to the working classes is all that counts. If Tourism doesn’t benefit the local communities … it should be collapsed.
