The Margao town police on Tuesday arrested two persons on charges of forcing a woman into the flesh trade. The police gave the names of the accused as Fatima Mukadam, a pimp and resident of Mumbai, and Sandip Borkar, a resident of Margao.
The duo was caught red-handed in a trap laid by the police near Khareband. The survivor was rescued and remanded in a protective home. The accused have been booked under several sections of the Immoral Trafficking Prevention Act. Further investigations are under way.
