World Tourism day was commemorated by The Pernem Deanery in collaboration with CRT. Several hundred people from 9 villages of Pernem Taluka gathered in Corgao.
Issues related to tourism that are affecting these villages were discussed. The Challenges to make tourism safe for women and children and environmentally friendly were felt by those gathered. Â Difficulties faced by the small and medium sectors in the tourism trade were voiced. CRT appealed to the gathered people to come forward in bringing out a peoples charter on tourism
