The tragedy of Tiracol dates back to 2005 . It was the then Congress government that opened the doors wide to the directors of leading hotels. It was then chief minister Rane and later Digamber Kamat who stitched up and unholy alliance. It was further blessed by BJP chief minister Parrikar and his successor Parsekar.
In the final analysis it is the government which has sold out to the corporates and paved the way for one of the most bio diverse spaces in the Konkan region to be endangered. The people will fight back.
