Unfettered tourism especially in coastal areas are often associated with oil spills that result in the formation of tar balls. in certain coastal areas dolphins, turtles and other forms of aqua life have been known to wash up dead with tar balls in their mouths . it is still unclear what the cumulative effects of sea planes and cruise ships have on the creation of tar balls
Tourism planners in Goa care little or nothing about such consequences but when the oceans and coast lines erupt in storms it will be the people who suffer.
