The tourism departments pre occupation with the Global consultant is nothing short of absurd. It would be important for the tourism department to spell out what qualifies KPMG Advisory Services Pvt. Ltd to carry out the consultancy.Is this another scam in which percentages will be shared? why should local stake holders support a Global company with information for free while they rake in the profits? The tax payers money cannot be fiddled around with. What tourism officials are doing is to throw around millions of rupees which will finally amount to nothing in terms of benefits to host communities.
